Hedir Review : Can an email address be banned from forum?

The same "guest" with the same email address has spammed the forum routinely for the past 2 months. Once or twice a week, we get a flurry of posts from the same one.

Can this addy be banned?

I understand he'll (she'll) just use another address. But clearly we've made it too easy for him (her) to continue posting crap every week, on schedule.

Possibly the @ sign should be banned to take care of it for any email they use as a name.
I don't see much use in anyone using an email address as a name anyway unless you like getting spam mail.

The @ sign could be banned using a wildcard. Like *@*

Yes it can be done. Our new spam controller will be cool, I think the best phpbb can every get. A community based spam controller.

Well, I gotta say I love, love, LOVE having access to the Spam Center and being able to delete crap posts Smile

It will be nice to take spam control a step farther, though.
