I have spent several years dialing this site in. Please feel free to criticize or vote - http://www.hedir.com/lawyers/about18159.html . I want to be in line with HEDIR policies.

First of all, you have to click on the "SUBMIT SITE" link that appears on the top right of every page.

Next, setting up your own poll doesn't work. No one will use it and it won't get your site officially reviewed or voted upon. And if someone actually does vote, it won't count in the actual voting system. Read the submitter's guide so you can submit your site correctly.

That's the problem I already submitted my site AND PAID a long time ago. Some Italian moderator guy rejected it outright because it had a mirror site I removed immediately. Then I got rid of the mirror site and the Italian guy said welcome aboard.

I tried to re-submit my site but HEDIR guidelines won't let me do that! Crying or Very sad

Plus it looks like you want me to pay again? I don't get it.

BTW rather than giving me a One (1) without even looking at my site, you could have simply selected "Undecided" Any way you could change that so as not to cause others to mistake your vote for being what it expressly states, that is, that my site is no good?

There is no "undecided" option in this poll. No one will mistake my vote for something useful because this thread is NOT the correct place for your site to be posted and be voted on.

Submitters do not create their own polls to get votes for their sites - the system is set up so when you submit your site using the submittal process, it automatically adds a poll with 3 options (not 10 numbers). And each time someone votes, it is added then posted at the top of the thread. When the required number/percentage of Yes votes has been reached, the site gets moved automatically to the Site Approval/Rejection List for a moderator to approve it. That's when an approved site gets into the directory.

Rest assured, this particular thread is worthless for collecting votes for your site. My vote, regardless of whether it was a 1 or a 10, is not recorded - check the thread in the review section for your site, you'll see the only vote recorded officially is yours. And I specifically posted that my vote in this thread is not based on a review of your site - I was forced to post a vote by your poll in order to post a comment to the thread.

Based on some of your questions, I think you are not quite up to speed here yet. You just posted on Dec. 10 to this thread - http://www.hedir.com/lawyers/about18159.html - which is the thread for your submittal. Your site does not need to be resubmitted. You fixed the mirror issue and Francesco moved it back into the review topic. He pointed this out to you in that thread.

If you read that thread, you will see that 2 of us have pointed out that your site IS in the review topic, and is available for reviews.

Your site will not be actually listed in the directory unless it does get the required number/percentage of Yes votes as listed in the Submitters guide. So your site is currently awaiting reviews.

And as previously noted, you can increase the possibility of people reviewing your site by doing reviews on other people's sites. The more active you are in the forums, the more people are motivated to reciprocate with reviews.

If you are still having problems with your signature link not working, you should send a PM to Anthony and ask for help. If the code I sent you doesn't work, then you'll need more help than I can offer.

I saw an "undecided" box. Please look at the actual voting area, not the options I gave. It's definitley there to he far right before you enter your vote.

The problem I have is that you gave my site a "1" when there is definitely an option to vote undecided and you never looked at my site to begin with.

Can you please delete this whole thread. I agree I did not have time to read all the rules, but I work 12-16 hours a day (7days) in my law practice and just haven't had a lot of time. I apologize for that.

I realize the vote won't count aganst me. I just think a moderator's opoinion carries a lot of weight when people actually do vote.

THE PM issue. IT absolutely does not work. I will PM him. Trust me. It does not work at all. There is in fact a sig there when I go to my profile, but it won't post.

I was hoping by this poll to get some opinions on my site that were honest ones, not necesarily to get votes for my eventual inclusion in the directory. Any ideas you can give me to improve my site would be great. Semper Fi. Mike

ehlinelaw had you checked the your submitted site. I made a posting regarding your problem.

However anthony informed me regarding your problem, so I checked your membership. I found you are using unnecessary html tags in your signature. Now I have corrected them and I hope the current signature is what you are looking for. You can always change it as of your requirement.

I guss you are using quick reply section for posting and you are not getting attaching signature option available there. There's the problem. Now I have made the option of attaching signature with all your post on from your profile section. Now onwords you will have your signature attach with all your post.

If you still have problem post it here.

One more request to you if the poll in this topic is not helping you please let us know.
