Soooo grrrl, you've been superMod for a few months now. What are your thoughts?
Ummm - you SURE you want to know?? Some positive, some negative ...
1) I am very frustrated at not getting help with certain tasks. I've wanted to block or remove member "santa44" but can't do it myself - and I've had no responses to my request.
2) I'm very pleased with some of the newer members who have done a lot of reviews and taken the time to provide good feedback. We have some really top-notch people who post from time to time. Wish they had more time to play here!
3) I REALLY REALLY like being able to reject submittals Too many people waste time by posting crap, and I really do enjoy rejecting them.
4) I'm sorry Josh is gone. He's been very friendly and helpful, and I'm afraid there won't be anyone from Hedir staff actually logging in and helping anymore.
I thought it was clear what I think. I think Hedir is a great concept and I still like the idea of public reviewing, either by members or editors. The big problem is that from the start Hedir lacks a good admin team with a clear focus on the core business: reviewing sites by community members.
I just did a quick scan through my own posts and I can see that I actually came to this conclusion in January 2006!! Beats me why I wasted so much time feeling like pulling a dead horse.
On the other hand, some good things came from Hedir as well: I've met a couple of people that I wouldn't have met otherwise. You could argue that, in the end, that's all what really matters.
Still, I kind of miss the daily Hedir routine. Don't know why. _________________ Please review some sites.
