Yeah this is a good idea but I think adsense is a better option.

Did this project fizzle? I see nothing posted after May, and now it's almost September ...

It sounded like a fun idea and a good reason to rack up Hedir points. But if it died or was replaced, it would be nice to see that explained in the thread so new editors like me will know the outcome.

The idea is good no doubt, but to implement this we need to design a system for it. Ok, let me have few days time to work out with this. I will let you know about this proposed feature.
