Community Bidding for advertisements
Hedir.com is growing exponentially and we will like to appreciate our community who is making it possible. Community bidding for advertisements is a way to appreciate our participating members with a free advertisement. This system is based on Hedir Points .
The process is very simple:-
For every post you earn Hedir points.
We will organize bidding for every month.
The person offering the maximum bid will get a free advertisement for the said 30 days.
Bidding will be based on Hedir points earned by the member.
Every month bidding post shall be announced on 15th and closed on 29th. That means, members will get 14 days to bid.
After winning the bid the respectively amount will be deducted from the members Hedir point account.
Where will the ad be placed in forum?
It will be placed in the Hedir Home Page. It will be a direct link to your website with Image alt tag.
What will be the size of the banner ad?
We have reserved 250x130 px for SuperMod, 250x120 px for Mod, and 250x50 px for Registered User. Your banner ad should fit within that.
The bidding system will start only after we get 25 votes in favor. We are looking forward for your active participation.
Moderators and admins will not participate in the bidding.
... is a key point! When you originally proposed the bidding system I was worried that things would be unfair as moderators and admins are bound to pile up more points simply through the number of administrative posts they make. You've countered it nicely by providing the free ads to moderators (and I presume admins?) and excluding them from the bidding. Well thought-out!

This is good stuff, I will be there for bidding. People say I am a good bidder . _________________ http://www.idealwebtools.com/blog/orkut-banned-india/ - Orkut getting a ban in India, why? Is it fair? Politicians not liking it as some voices are raised against.
Likewise, I think this is well handled. Open and clear meritocracy! Sounds like we have a benevolent and wise group leading Hedir "to infinity and beyond."

I was thinking, you are going to have most likely everybody to bid in one or another way for a overwhelming competition. Are you planning to post just one fixed ad for the 15 days?
If you are willing to do a wider coverage I have a suggestion: Get the top 5 or so bidding winners and rotate their ads in such a way that all of them get the same amount of exposure, in other words, give the same share of space to all the 5 winners.
