Hedir Review : smaller size banners ?

I wanted to put a back link to Hedir on my home page, but the banner is too big.
Are there any smaller thumbnails, 1"x1/2" for that ?

I actually like the idea of 'friends'. Are these all your kids ? Laughing

If you could make a few smaller versions with a photo and without.
I think there are standard sizes for banners, don't remember right now.
Not sure...
Make one 1"x1/2" with a photo and one without.
The same with few other sizes.
Idea about the photo - if you could find a photo of friends or group of people of different ages, gathered together and having fun, would be great!
The more I like Hedir, the more I want to put a bigger banner Smile

But with a mix of ages would be better, IMHO.

I like your album , very neat viewer. Never heard of it before.
I also like photography, have some picture on Smugmug and PBase. Would like to sell some, but nothing happening. Maybe I'll move to Flickr, since it has a much bigger exposure.

These sizes are great. Not everybody are interested to put a big size banner. I feel the huge potential for Hedir, so I'll probably put a few of these banners.
I'd like to comment on a logo. What exactly the 'cube' means ?
Is it a Rubik Cube ?
I'm not a designer, but if somebody looks at the logo it doesn't convey much meaning.
Idea

IMHO, a logo should be more meaningful, attractive. Like Gimpsy directory or JoeAnt. It needs to stand out, to look special.
Like ajinMIC suggested, a group of people hugging the globe, for example. In general outline or like cartoon characters...or something like that. This is from the stand point of covering the world.
Idea

From another point of view, being the best source of quality websites...a logo might include a simplified element of "quality control Stamp" for example or mix of GoldenAward(Oscar's type) with a GoldenGlobe and exclamation point...or a mix of all this.
Idea

A logo must create an image of HighQuality, Curiosity, to create an immediate attraction.
Just my thoughts.
If want to vaporize ODP, then we need to act agressively.

Anne and other graphic designers, do something !
Maybe we should have a contest ?

BoogieMan I am always interested to discuss something off-the-track. In Hedir we allways encourage each other to discuss those things which can be helpfull to others. The discussion you are trying to revoke, I enjoyed very much Smile

. Once againg we may have some more new ideas. But I am anxious about Admins and Mods, how far they can take part in this discussion. We are currently working to put Hedir to the next level and you can understant its not a small job.

However I will try to be here when I will get time. Btw welcome to Hedir, I hope you will enjoy the community and differnt resources in Hedir. Wish you a good journey with Hedir.
