Based on this thread by topgun:

Instead of the long description, which is a real pain IMO, give submitters a standardized form where he/she can choose his/her tags. Like:

City:
Country:
Tag1:
Tag2:
Tag3:

This will solve the problem of keyword-stuffing/spamming the long descr. which occurs in about 75% of the submissions, submitter gets to choose 3 keywords/tags besides short descr. and location of website is known.

Tagging is just not one time and should not be limited to submitter. Everyone should be allowed to Tag and an effective algo tag search will deliver the results.

This will surely make a difference to Hedir.

I'm cool with that. Thinking of 750 chars for a description is a downright pain in the ass.

Long description is a waste and a clearly exploited avenue for abuse. A brief description is enough to tell reviewers what the site is about. After that, the site should be self-explanatory. If they need a novel to explain it, it probably isn't going to be a site for Hedir anyway!

Good points, We have a business page and we need some content for that page as well. We initially thought that people will like to explain their business in detail for the business card page.

We are planning to move in the direction of tags.

I like the idea of tagging for hedir, It would make it much easier for people to find a place for their site to sit as well (prehaps) avoid the 750 word minimum.
