As we know that incoming links are important to gain link popularity as well as good PR value. Moreover, for big G natural links are more valued than reciprocal links. However, what to do when natural incoming links are coming from unnatural sites.

Big G dominates high percentage of internet market. Web world is interested for what big G is doing, what updation they are bringing and many more…. but what policies they have taken for calculating vote from natural incoming links. Good quality informative sites are getting natural links from bad, irrelevant sites thus gaining link popularity but simultaneously loosing brand reputation too. In many cases scraper sites, network sites, bad sites are responsible for providing natural link. However, popularity never equals to quality.

How can I build good content or articles at this point where I even dream of removing bad links while I sleep?

Why big G is not bothered about the quality of the internet linking process.

the fact is, Google does bother
Consider his recent Jagger update. Most reciprocal links were dumped, only the relevant links were left. This amounts to quality. Also, links to and from not so relevant sites weigh far less than visa versa.

I like google too because their mission is t-o-o good, that is providing all relevant information to the end users. Google tools are also very good. Only thing that I do not like is, that for a search query they will provide results with huge numbers of unrelated sites. Who knows which one is most relevant among a given results of about 9,180,000 for a specific search query. And in many cases google provides top results from pages created on 2001…2002 and which is basically out dated in the present context of fast moving web world, and then from the very next page google will go off- topic. They are still giving high priority to link building where priority should be given to content, titles, and subjects.
It is google's Adsense, which motivated the prolific growth of junk sites made only for ads.

Does anyone know exactly for definite what google holds in high regard link building or content? a straight answer?

It's a guessing game built on passed experience on what works. most people know what doesn't work, but browse through some of the submissions and forum discussions here, and one will find that the don'ts of G still get away with it. but for how long? Today the SERPS changed for us, from page two right up to number two on first page for SE queries for a number of terms. This could be mainly attributed to the link building, but content has been changes for some weeks now as well.

It's a marketing world. What can you offer google/users?

Google - very grey area
