My quick question:
In here, a rejected site cannot be re-submitted again?

I couldn't find any re-submit procedure(s) in the link you provided.

Just found one paragraph:
“Re-Inclusion Plan:
Rejected sites are moved to 'Rejected Sites' forum manually. These sites can come back to the 'approval waitinglist' after fulfilling the following conditions:
Site gets total 25 votes
Site gets total 20 reviews.
Percentage of 'yes' votes is >75% of total votes”

Is that means, what can I do is just waiting? Thanks.

Hi unionbros, and welcome to HEDIR.

If you mean to re-submit those 2 mirror sites (unionbrothers.net and unionandbrothers.com) then the answer is no, simply because HEDIR rules state mirror sites aren't allowed. If you take down one of them, I'm willing to put the other one back in the review forum.

Thanks. baggeroli,

In fact, in my mind, I never planed to submit two sites here. I knew mirror sites are prohibited almost everywhere. I apologize for my mistake

Please only keep www.unionbrothers.net and drop my www.unionandbrothers.com submission.

PS The only reason I keep two sites is, if one site is down, for no matter whatever reasons, I can immediately tell people to visit other site. Last year, our host company closed door and kept our site from being seen for two months and drove us nuts. Therefore, I decided to have two sites at two different host firms. Of course, I only plan to promote one. This did solve one problem, however, once in a while, it brings me another problem……sometimes, I wrongful made double submissions because I forgot I already did for one.

I'm sorry but I think you've misunderstand me. As far as I know, mirror sites aren't allowed at all. So if you have 2 (or more) identical sites on the web, neither is meeting HEDIR's submission guidelines.

Maybe Lakhya can shed a light on this?

True, both are considered mirror sites, not just one.

IMO it should be allowed as any site can be improved with time, once you think that your site is different and improved you can contact Lakhya or any moderator to put it back to review forums.

I see. Thanks. Learn something new everyday.

To be listed in your directory is important, however, to be seen by customers AT ANY TIME is more important at this moment (in here, I means, if any host firm has problem, I still will have another one available immediately).

I don't want to repeat my terrible experiences anymore, so I would rather keep two websites. Anyhow, thanks very much.

-AjiNIMC

Sounds you missed key point.

1. There is no debate about definition on "mirror sites" here.
2. The debate is about the interpretation on "Do not submit mirror sites”.
3. This is a referral answer from the most authority directory DMOZ:

This is a Admin decision, Unionbros. You should PM Lakhya about how to interpret this rule.

I agree, dmoz can have any definition for mirror site but IMO both site should not be added to Hedir as it violates the basic rule of www, the duplicate content and content repetitions.
