...and I'm back to moderate, extrapolate, opinionate and all the other stuff I do.
Anyway, for those who may have wondered where I was:
1) I moved.
2) I launched 4 sites for clients.
3) I completed a site project of my own, which I will submit to HEDir in a few days once I get the kinks worked out.
http://www.searchenginefriendlylayouts.com is the site. So if you guys wanna give some feedback and stuff, go for it. It's an attempt at fusing two industries that seem to be worlds apart and shouldn't: web standards-compliant design and SEO.
Anyway, if you wanna give unofficial feedback, go nuts. _________________ HEDir's Prince of Cool
I checked out your site. Looks like what I have been needing
A little on and off topic here about html...
I have yet to figure out why W3C thinks that I have to use a TR tag where no TD's are stacking. Very annoying.
I realize its maybe a standard, but not needed if you aren't stacking anything.
Did I happen to say "I'm not stacking TD's"?
Not really sure I get your question. Are you saying that you have no TRs, yet you have TDs somewhere? URL, son, URL!
Anyway, when the thing's out of public beta (which so far, no one has found a bug, although some have criticized the use of JS and absolute positioning...bleh), I'll submit it here for review. And the more you guys help me shamelessly plug the thing, the more money and time I'll have to review all of your wonderful contributions. (HINT. ) _________________ HEDir's Prince of Cool
I Have quite a few things to weed through on my site to make W3C happy.
One of the things I'm dealing with is going back and forth through the autogenerated script displays on the homepage and correctng little things like alt tags and such.
Well, now I'm down to these TR tags W3C says are missing.
W3C thinks that every time you have a <table><td> that you must have it written as <table><tr><td> whether stacking or not.
The site? HorseSearchEngine.com
I've been working on it when I have time to
By the way. These sites I'm reporting as Down have been down for more than 8 hours. Atleast for me. My route to the UK and a few others gets a little wacky sometimes. Just double check them.
baggeroli, I thought about that. The problem is that XHTML has a bad enough rap as it is (and not really justified IMHO)...I don't think I need to make it any worse. _________________ HEDir's Prince of Cool
