You guys are really helpful that's why I am here again.
Last year, I heard the term "blog" once or twice. If I'm not wrong it's an online personal diary, where people simply put their thoughts in cyber space. Isn't it ?
But now-a-days, people are using this blogging concept to promote their business. So, I want to know, how can this blogging be helpful to promote business. If I strat a blog, what are the things should I keep in mind?

Thats one of my fav topic these days. I am helping Mr Blog Ninja with bloggervalley.com (now registered with sourceforge.net).
Some of the tips for blogging,
Just do not copy paste (unless it is for humor like http://ajinimc.hedir.com ). Blog has value if you write something with your research.
Talking to the world one is to one: This helps you to tell the world what your company is doing (for company blogs). Your experiences helping people to understand your business. I read sun, google, yahoo blogs regularly to know some of their moves.
Your visitor may not be blog savvy, so keep a provision to guide them.
Do not write on controversial topics like religion.
If possible offer some gift for your users.
Now these were some tips for blogging, if you need to earn money then you need to make better use of advertisements.
"It is easy to brand a blog than a site", "It empowers a person's(or company's) viewpoint".
You can also start a blog with hedir.com , the way I did and I am getting close to 100 visitor everyday. Also keep a watch on bloggervalley.com as we are developing it with blogninja.
Hope my thoughts about the topic is not too late. Anyway, I guess what is imporatant to keep in mind is that to think of what kind of blog you would want to build for your readers. Is it a blog about services? or your products? or a content blog?
