Hi
It's rather new and I haven't really decided if its god or bad yet, but you should have a look and decide for your self, it does look promising.
Quote:
Pyramid linking is a revolutionary new approach to link building. We generate a list of links for you to add to your website and give you double the number of static, one way, backlinks from similar sites in return.
Example: site-a.com links to 15 websites from their PR5 links page. In return they receive 30 links of PR5 or higher from relevant sites. They refer 10 new users to us and receive a bonus 50 links.
I would be curious to see very many sites with a PR5 links page.
its enough of a challenge for people to get a high PR home page by itself.
I don't like link schemes at all whether they seem in good faith or not.
They just make me leary and in most cases for a good reason.

Matt Cutts, among other search engine types, has written about the relative devaluation of the link exchange concept due to the potential for abuse of it. Basically, what he said was that, if two sites exchange links, it doesn't mean as much as if one site gives another a link.
All that this does is magnifies the devaluation effect as follows:
Site A provides links to 14 other sites (we'll call them Sites B-P), and gets links from Sites B-P in return.
So, you have a setup something like this:
Site A <--> Site B
Site A <--> Site C
Site A <--> Site D
...
...
Site A <--> Site P
The same type of effect would occur from Sites B through P. So, what you have is 240 reciprocal links (15 OBLs per site x 16 sites participating) across 16 sites.
I don't personally think the SEs have perfected the concept of detecting this type of thing yet: some of the major players in the industry (e.g. The Rat Pack) still haven't gotten caught as of this moment. But we're seeing the initial strides of it, at least from the standpoint of big G (who is still the preeminent engine). Sooner or later, they're bound to catch on. _________________ HEDir's Prince of Cool
Spammers will find new quick ways to work around the search engines. Eventually they get caught, and if they dont why risk your site being thrown down in the process to start over?
"There is no fast way that will last" should be your online marketing mantra.
Spend the time adding content, articles, directories, and take pride in the hard work you put into a site... If it was that easy to rise to the top, and stay there... everyone would have done it _________________ - Nomad111 -

i dont like this approach to gain site popularity. i agree with you all and feel theres no real shortcuts to get to the top. _________________ We > Me > I .. its true !!
Linking is a must not because you gain ranking but for traffic and real popularity. This is just like making relationships. Do not be a dead end of internet rather feel free to link to useful sites and get links from useful sites. _________________ Web 2.0 bookmarking - I think you cant make it simpler.
Personally, I have no faith anymore in what I read about linking practises.
There's a site in my own genre, who have been hovering in the top 5 in G's index for quite a long time. They've bought a whole load more non-related links (G reports nearly 12,000, so you can imagine how many they must really have) and shot straight to no. 1. The site has no content whatsoever, no visible SEO, just a big bunch of non-related incoming links. PR7! As they've been around quite a while, I don't think they will be budged. I've spent years doing it the 'right' way, so you can see how I've lost faith in what we're told is the right thing to do. Until G sorts sites like this out, I'll remain extremely pessimistic. I'm even toying with the idea of following the same route.
