Hi all,
In some of cases some users are asking to remove some of the comments should we do it (especially when he/she has corrected the error)? IMO we should delete it as we want to help webmasters and putting anything in public which may hurt their site in long run should be avoided. All do some mistakes but once corrected on community's advice should get some preferences. Our main goal is to help people find the good resources and if someone is ready to rectify the errors we should help them there.
As I always say, let the community alone decide. Looking forward for your viewpoint. _________________ "Every good thing takes time to happen"

I've been a moderator for forums before, and.. nope, deleting history and make discussions un-happen is a bad, bad practice.
Archiving discussions after a site has been accepted and directing comments to a new thread in the related forum, sure, that's okay. But no deletions, they're against my religion. _________________

LeenaN: If the personal information isn't acceptable by the person it was directed to then I wouldn't have any problem deleting that portion of the post. Being that it was in the form of full name and location.
I do have one exception to this rule of posting personal information.
If the site is noted as a scam site and it could be confirmed that it was then I would leave the postings.
I also like to keep a good thumb on how whois info is used in posts.

Please also give the url to the problem thread or post and full explanation of the situation.
You also have the option to PM an admin if you feel it is in more of a private nature and would like to not make this situation public.

Forgive me, there for a moment I thought I had clicked on the Disney channel.
I guess garbage like that is the risk you take when you are in the public domain...looks like somebody needs to get a life. _________________ You never get what you want until you help others get what they want.
