Hello All - Introducing myself - Darren from the Bournemouth area in the UK. Working over in the New Forest area today, maybe I shouldn't mention the weather today to avoid depression!!
I'm off to try and find out how to review/submit now, maybe I'll bump into some of you as I get lost......

Have reviewed my first site today, a fantasy football site - as it turned out, was already in the directory - I only found out when I noticed there was a 'page 2' link at the bottom of the page I was writing my review on...still, it's experience. And I included my thoughts anyway, for what it was worth!
I was really wondering how to carry out a good review, what to look out for, what is critical etc. I've also had a look at one for a Pool Cue site, which, while it doesn't seem to have loads of content, I think might still be valid for someone who is looking for pool cues.... is that a good enough reason to vote for it? If it's purpose is to sell pool cues, and it doesn't look like a bad site, and it does indeed sell cues, should I give it the 'thumbs up'? I've read the first four or five stickies in the Site Submission & Review section and that helped as a starting point for someone like me with virtually zero site review experience, but I suppose a lot of this does come through experience!

Just go ahead and make reviews and follow some of the veterans here. Adam, Googlejunky, francesco to name a few are the "models" that you can follow. Learn from them. _________________ Cheers!

To make it a little easier on you when you want to review sites you can use the Hedir Review Center. This will allow you to review sites that you know the most about and are genuinely interested in. Sometimes reviewing a site about 1000 uses for a paperclip just isn't your cup of tea.
Organize the category to how you want to see the listings with the clickable headings of each column
When you review a site you should use your own first impression of what you expect in a site. Does it meet all the expectations that the type of site you are looking at should meet. Is it sloppy or well organized? As it was said before, we have many people with different skills. You may have a skill that isn't in Hedir yet and would greatly help in the reviewing of sites.
The bonus of reviewing sites is that when you decide to add your own site for review then you will have a better understanding of what will be expected of your site as well. Avid members of Hedir do get the most help to be listed simply because they are contributors.

Google Junky - many thanks, I have looked at the review centre. I almost feel a bit guilty when thinking about reviewing sites that I like - oh, no, I'm okay again! Will use this to pick another site to review.
We can start similar discussions at various forums. Let the world know about Hedir. If you have started some thread please post the urls that we can go there and participate.
