I'm Nancy Berger. I'm part of a wonderful group of enthusiastic, hard-working people called the Kappix Team. I hold a BA in English Language and Literature, a BEd in Education/Training, and have been doing technical writing, CALL, marcom, HRMS consulting, and now am the marketing director for Kappix (among other responsibilites). I chug coffee and smoke to excess, enjoy improv cooking, reading and writing poetry, and learning.
I have two remarkable kids and a cat that thinks she's a rug (Persian).

What a lovely warm welcome! I'm beginning a blog on blogger and will certainly make many a mention of HEDIR. It's still in test mode as I've only begun last night.
What drew Nancy to HEDIR was a quirk link in a list of recommended web directories, an unsatiable curiousity, as well as an over-developed sense of adventure. Typical Nancy, huh ?
What keeps me here is a welcoming, supportive, informative environment, a group of savvy intelligent web pros with a cool sense of humor and that's only after 3 days after registering.
I think I've found a positive place where I can learn, grow, and hopefully contribute from my own knowledge.

HEDir has become (to many of us) our homes. We all came here from different locales and is growing everyday. Amongst our group you will find web developers, designers, marketers, website owners, SEO experts, standards experts, web enthusiasts, and crazy wacko tropical beaners like myself, who are after one thing. Seeing great websites included in a logical directory that will some day be considered a SOURCE Directory.
We help each other and the submitters. We like to see good websites be great, and great websites be fantastic, and fantastic websites be perfect.

I appreciate your responses and hearty welcomes. As for blogging, I am very green in the field and only noticed the HEDIR blogs after I had begun on blogger. But the two are NOT mutually exclusive. So it stands to reason that I might well begin a blog here after practising and attaining a measure of proficiency on blogger.
