I am impressed with the concept of digg.com and I think we can implement it on hedir for each category.
What is your opinion about it? I think this will help us get more traffic and also our webmaster community will get a platform to share their latest work by submitting the story. So win-win strategy.
We will not limit hedir submissions to news items but will have blog posts and article submission too. Say each category is getting 100 extra visitors every day and thus we can get 300 x 100 = 30,000 new visitor. Even if 1% takes a step further by exploring hedir so 300 new interested visitors for hedir. More visitor more reviews. Now even if 1% of interested people start reviewing then 30 new reviewers can be added to the list everyday.
Are my calculations too optimistic? Waiting for your feedbacks.
Thanks,

It's too easy to spam the Digg concept IMHO. I never liked the idea of benevolent content addition without prior human filtration for that reason alone. _________________ HEDir's Prince of Cool

This will surely attract more visitors to Hedir, spams can be controlled. In my opinion spams are like stones thrown at fruitful tree, my non-popular sites are hardly spammed but the ones with high traffic is innovatively spammed which has a changing spam filter.
I think this is a good idea to attract more people to hedir, webmasters will like to promote their stories on hedir and visitors will like to read it. _________________ http://www.idealwebtools.com/blog/orkut-banned-india/ - Orkut getting a ban in India, why? Is it fair? Politicians not liking it as some voices are raised against.
I think we should push it to attract more visitors and webmasters. We can use this feature to introduce hedir to many webmasters at an initial phase. _________________ Web 2.0 bookmarking - I think you cant make it simpler.
