I keep trying to edit my post, but it keeps coming back as "This topic is locked: you cannot edit posts or make replies." I click the edit button in the top right corner, next to the quote button. (Is this the correct button?)
I have found the URL I would like my site to be featured in:
http://www.hedir.com/gifts.html
Once I get to change the subject, it will be:
"earthslight.com + gifts".
I have also noticed some posts I try to reply to, and for some reason I can not. Is this because I am locked out, or what's going on with that? I'm on a Mac. running OS X 10.2.8, using Firefox 1.0.7. Could it be my OS, or browser:?:
Can one or more of the Mods please enlighten me on how I can change my locked post, and reply to other posts? This is a very good forum directory that I would love to be frequently apart of, if only I could post, edit, and reply. Thank you in advance.

Hi, Mad Celt. I've edited your post and unlocked the thread as requested. Sorry for the low tolerance level, but we are strictly enforcing the submission guidelines as it would take too long to fix every incorrect post!
Out of curiosity, why are the rules on new site submissions so rigid? For ppl new to Hedir, it is highly annoying. I understand about not having the http:// in the url of the proposed website, but having to muddle through the entire site, finally finding a place that's perfect for the proposed site, then posting the direct URL to that location seems a bit much imo. Also, having the subject to be the url of the proposed site (without the http://), then adding the + sign and the proposed location is a bit much too. A general "sight submission - yoursite.com" should be enough. Why couldn't it be that user friendly? From now on, I will adhear by the strict rules, but question them.

I like Your site very much. I accept Your ideas and I will recommend Your site. But let us prove that we are not machines. Norah prepared very nice standard for posts, do not ask us to do Your job.
I appreciate You came but take Your time reading. Please. I believe You try to make something different. We do too and remember we need 10 positive opinions about site to add site to hedir. I hope You join discussions about other sites.

We will make it simple for sure, we are sorry for all the trouble caused. We are in our first phase of partcipatory directory model and we are improving, IMO that is a good sign.
