Hedir Review : Links in signature

Is there an official Hedir policy on putting active site links in signatures? I think most moderators have been following the admins' leads and removing links from signatures.

However, given that many forums (especially SEO/directory forums) allow this, I think it's probably but it might be worthwhile to make it clear whether this is allowed or not.

We will add a no follow tag to all the forum links including the signatures.

No lining (even from signatures) is one of things which make Hedir differrent from other places. I would not allowed active linking in signatures.

IMO it will not hurt as we can add a "no follow" tag with the signatures. Will it hurt hedir in any case? I feel this will motivate the community members.

Having the ability to put links in the signature is very much a motivation to members. I participate in a number of forums. The main reason to spend the time is because I get something in return. Without that return there is very little reason for me to spend time here. There are thousands of chat rooms I can go to if that was what I was looking for.

Dear admins,

It has not been clear whether we cam use the link in sig or not. As acorus is requesting me to remove the link from the sig, so can I? As I am not using the sig in Site submission and review forum, is it not enough?

Also some idea of what kinds of links the admins will permit in signatures...

IMO we should not link from signatures. I understand that it is the reason why most people stay and post messages. Do admins have to add nofollow? I vote Yes, if we will not follow this rule.

We might add a nofollow tag to signature links in near future. For the time being continue with your sig links.

Thank you for the clarification on the matter, what would happen with posts done in the past that are still showing the signature with the link in the submission forum (now that I have gone and re-edited my sig)?
