How about starting a poll for each request? Whenever someone submits a site they will be requested to start a poll with it, this will help us rate or recommend site with a quantitative unit.

IMO this will help, what do you feel?

But are we going to learn how to follow guideline, when we have so much problems now. Yes, I agree with this idea but How are You going to implement this method and remove elder guideline comments?

We need to make process more simpler, I have asked a person to help me do some coding. We are improving everyday and hopefully in a month or two we can operate with a stable policy.

I had suggested this two weeks ago, but I reconsidered after giving it more thought.

The main drawbacks I see are:
- people are more likely to just vote "yes/no" without actually giving any feedback
- not requiring feedback will make it easier for people to vote for themselves through numerous accounts.

I remember you had posted something similar in the past as well, Norah. I believe in that post you had suggested that a site could be approved with 50 "yes/no" votes (I assume through a poll) or 10 reviews. In theory this would somewhat reduce the problems above, but people are having a hard enough time getting 10 people to look at each site, let alone 50.

Yes we need to revamp the policies, in short span together we have taken some big and unique steps. This period of debating is vital. Let's sleep over the thoughts for next few days and debate again for simple and scalable policies keeping long term in account.

I apologize, but I couldn't make the form show up, so it's partly in code, and partly not. I do not know how to correct this.

That would be a better solution, for sure. At least it would encourage(/require) people to provide some sort of feedback.

I guess the question is how much work/coding is involved for the admins to pull something like that off.

It shouldn't be that hard. Just a simple form, powered by PHP is all it would take would be my guess.

A form for submission, I am sure it will simplify the whole process. Lets go for that then, I will code for it in a day or two.

I am keeping a little busy but I have started the work, this monday I will join back the code and will finish it asap. Also I will (semi)automate the total review system.
