GJ, 4 day week? Man, I want something like that. I am hitting something like 45 to 50 hours per week. Excluding the different business reading that I need to do.
Ouch, 4 days sounds awesome!
Well, i take sundays off - recover... but an average of 10-11 hours a day, fluxes tho depending on the work load, and research to be done. _________________ Web Development Cape Town
Great to see that most of the members are giving their valueable time to make Hedir really a better place. But sorry guys, I am bit different from your lobby . I hardly spend 2 hrs. as I have some other task to do.
Jackie, I am referring to time spend at work, not in hedir.
Hedir Developer, 70 to 75! that is kinda mad. 10 hours per day. I think hedir is paying you good money. Ha.
The purpose of me asking to just to get a rough feel of the hours people in the general IT line spend at work. _________________ Cheers!

I'm not sure of madness , normally I don't push myself to work for that amount of time, but I happily manage it. While working on bug or doing RnD jobs sometimes make myself thrilled than anything else.
RnD is fun, no doubt. But what about other aspect of life? Family, spouse, dating (that is for me), ball games (I mean real games, not watching from the couch), community work, self improvement (I really wanna learn how to dance) and things like that.
I remember clocking 70 hours plus weekly when I was still in college. But once I started working, the definition of work somehow does not sink in as a 8 to 5 job. It is more like making things happen and getting things done. beyond that, the hours clocked should be secondary. _________________ Cheers!

Well, I thought I would through my two cents in. I work from home and usually log 7-12 hours a day, seven days a week depending on the amount of work to be done. I design and promote the web site, perform any computer repair, set up meeting times between my boss and homeowner, and answer email from homeowners. I just found Hedir and already I like the this forum. _________________ Sudlow Concrete

So far the last few days, I think I put in about 8 hrs or so. I've been so busy with work and all, I almost abandon the internet completely until now.
I have some time now. I've been trying to place my site back to being active, keep adding it to search engines, and fine tuning it little by little. But so far this is the only "active" directory where I see the general public placing alot of efforts into sites and all.... pretty cool if you ask me.
peace,
Emma.
