Hedir Review : Google may immitate the Hedir idea

It looks like Google has applied for a patent on a method to be a social search engine and getting away from using an algorithm completely. It is evidently something they have been thinking about.
Did Hedir beat them to the punch for the idea?

I think Hedir beat them as Hedir implemented it first. Hedir is the biggest and the most established human (community) edited directory which does a ranking based on wisdom of crowd. Google is certainly copying the idea. They might be thinking about it for sometime as any other search engine but hedir implemented it first. It is an idea theft, can we do something about it?

Hedir has also made the database open that any search engine can use the wisdom of crowd index to judge the usefulness.
