Well, not totally.. But pretty hard.. As Baggeroli noted I'm back.. I had intended to be here a lot more than I have been.. But RL hasn't been very kind to me this year.. I'm hoping things will settle down and let me participate a bit more..
For the record, 13 deaths this year..
My daughter got married..
That same daughter is getting divorced..
Not to mention work :p
Sorry to hear that friend. I think we all have bad times but it will never last long. We hope and pray for better time ahead. _________________ Web 2.0 bookmarking - I think you cant make it simpler.
Nice to see you back Feydakin. You've had a rough ride - hope things smooth out a little for you now. _________________ Please help us to improve HEDir by reviewing some sites.
I was saddened to hear this. And I know, no comfort is enough to replace the loss, hoping for better days ahead.
BTW, welcome back. _________________ "Every good thing takes time to happen"

Thanks for the support everyone.. I'm sort of numb to the whole thing any more.. We've been through so many deaths this year we have the whole process of grieving down pretty good.. Of course friends and family that haven't been through it all this year are a bit confused at our very morbid sense of humor and the 'fun' we try to have at the funerals these days.. I go out of my way to make people laugh at funerals now.. It really does seem to help..
Redhex, what branch of the service?? My wife is now in the reserves after many years of active duty in the USAF.. She was just got promoted again so life is good there..
Feydakin: First of all, I am not from the States but from the small county of Singapore. Here, all young men at the age of 18 have to perform National Service and undergo 2 years of Military Service. Simply because my country can ill afford a full time army, both cost wise and Manpower wise.
Regarding which service, I was with the airborne infantry. So that was like 10 years ago now. I still have 2 more years of reserves duties (have to return to camp for training for about 2 to 3 weeks yearly) before I complete my National Service Committement.
So how is it like to be the man behind a uniformed women? Does she boss your around? And BTW, I did have the chance to train with several US Marines, and boy are they beefy. As compared to Asians. _________________ Cheers!

Nah - she doesn't boss me around, I wouldn't listen if she did She went into the AF to pay for college and stuck with it.. Just made Lt. Colonel so that's pretty cool.. 3 more years till she can retire..
And for the record, I think military service should be mandatory everywhere.. It helps a lot of people grow up..
