Hi friends,
Got a query, shall be thankful if you explain.
Actually few days back my site was ranking good in Google in several competitive keywords. But yesterday when I checked again, found lost the positions.
Hi Jerry, how much positions did you loose? Maybe your site is suffering from the -30 or -950 penalty. Check webmasterworld or another forum about that. _________________ Please review some sites.

how long does it take?
i have a feeling my guitar teaching website may have been sandboxed.
it's been 1 month since the launch date and despite all human-achievable efforts (and yes I can be pretty limited) i get no good results for keyphrases i wanted.
I've heard Google changed something in this year.
I am beginning to suspect that now submitting to a quadzillion directories with exactly the same wordings might be classified as spam and google is penalizing.
Just took a quick look and can offer a couple of suggestions. However, as we shouldn't really 'hi-jack' Jerry's thread, could you start a new post for this and I'll post my reply there. _________________ Please help us to improve HEDir by reviewing some sites.
sure nozz
but am not sure to which part of my post you are referring to and willing to help.
is it:
* Has Google changed something this year drastically?
* How long does it take for good results?
* What was done wrong to the guitar website - and is really it suffering from penalization?
let me know and i will create the topic accordingly
and soz Jerry really didn't mean to hi-jack am losing much sleep here too for my lack of success.
Well for starters, I would combine the guitar site with the piano site and make it one 1 broad site about Bentley with more indexable content.
Next the basic stuff:
no image in the H1 tags, use keywords here (in a nice sentence off course)
More content.
Remove Robert Bentley from the start of the description, biggest keyword should be there. No one looks for Robert Bentley and if they do, they already know him
Use more page hierarchy: 1 H1 (biggest keywords), a couple of H2's with the smaller ones.
All keywords mentioned in title, description and H1 should be mentioned in the paragraphs as well, preferably a couple of times ( I don't know the exact percentage, better not overdo it).
Did I mention more content?
Move the content up in the code: lower the nav code and use CSS to lay it out at the top.
I'm assuming West London is a big keyword: I would rephrase the title in something like: Music Teacher West London W14: guitar lessons and piano tuition. You see? West London is next to Music Teacher and next to guitar lessons. Keep in mind though: I'm no expert and no native speaker, you'll have to experiment a bit.
Don't use exact phrases from your site to submit to directories and such like here.
Most important things:
I think one month is too short to worrie about Google yet.
Never compromise the usefullness and readability of a site for the sake of SEO (always use good readable sentences).
