I might be wrong here Jerry but I don't think this is allowed by Google. Are you referring to Adwords, or Adsense? I know with Adsense you musn't promote the ads on your site, however I believe you are allowed to promote the Google search facility, and I think the Google referrals program also. If you are referring to Adwords then I don't know, as I don't use it. _________________ Please help us to improve HEDir by reviewing some sites.
Adwords can not have tricks in them - it's in the basic rules.

There is an automatic checker that disqualifies ads while-you-wait. So you'll know immediately if your ad passes or not. Repeated characters are easy to catch programatically.
In each campaign that I set up, I write several variations of ads to see which does better. So far I don't see a whole lot of difference from one wording to another.
