Search Engine Friendly Layouts is a series of 24 tableless XHTML layouts that are designed to present the content first.
This is both search spider and user-friendly; it allows the search engine spider to quickly ascertain the nature of a particular page based on its unique content, and it allows the user to view the individual content of pages first without having to wait for menus and other aspects of traditional table-based layouts to load.
There are layouts that incorporate headers and/or footers; 2-column layouts; 3-column layouts; layouts with fixed widths; and fluid layouts.
Besides the search engine benefits, tableless web designs encourage forward progress in web design as well as increased capacity for accessibility.
A small, hand-picked selection of quality design and search engine optimization-related resources has been selected as well.
