It may be written in a different way in the submission guidelines and I'm just seemingly blind at the moment.

Do we actually have subdomains and deep linking on the list in guidelines.
I agree they arn't good. It's just that I use the guidelines page for reference sometimes and can't seem to see it there.

We did go over the way a site could use a sub directory as for showing the site in different laguages. So that's understandable.

Thanks

You're right Junky, that's pretty much default guidelines for any directory. Therefore I've rejected tons of sub-domains/deep-linking with a few exceptions (e.g. other lang). We also have to tackle the numerous blog sites like whatever.blogspot.com. Up till now, I haven't rejected them on the spot but hand-checked them first. Most of them are just made for Adsense or links.

Google junky, baggeroli, subdomains are not rejected as there are many quality sites built on subdomains. Example, insurance.about.com - this url is completely an acceptable one. I have studied the trend in submissions and found that usually internal urls are unacceptable as most of them are built for promoting a single product or for adsense.

You're right, millovic. Like I said: there are a few exceptions. No worries.

Btw: the sub-domains/deep-linking sites which point to a English version of their site should still submit the main domain. As long as there's an obvious link to the English version, it's OK.
