I have been asked similar questions by many? Also, I think I am motivated to explain what hedir is and what it is going to be.



Hedir is a community approach towards offering the best resources selected by a community review process. It helps to rank the sites on the basis of real customer feedback. Ranking is not based on automated checking of site properties but on the basis of experience with the site/business as a whole.

Hedir is not a web 1.0 directory; it is THE WEB 2.0 directory because of the following reasons,
  1. Vision: To understand the community value of website and offering the best as suggested by the community for the community. Every opinion counts here.

  2. Process: Every process is community driven. Almost every decision is taken as a community and not as a single entity. The "wisdom of crowd" drives Hedir processes.

What are the things hedir is involved with?
  1. Community review system:
    This image explains the process but we have more to it as we are continuously trying to improve the process.



    Under review system we are working on
    1. One forum for each site where people can discuss about the site and the business as a whole.
    2. Admin of the site will be empowered with Ideal conversation model.
    3. Audio reviews.
    4. Video reviews.
    5. Browser based review system where people will be able to access and add the reviews from the browser using a plug-in. We call it a home delivery approach.
    6. Tag based management.
    7. Admin contact form standardization.
    8. Making the process simpler for the causal users to participate.
    And few more …

  2. Category based features:
    On one side we are trying to improve our core review processes but on the other hand we are also trying to add features for users. We want to make it a community of communities.
These are few of the things we are doing but we have plans for many other features which will make hedir.com a hub for empowered users.
